MacroDroid is an application that lets you set up macros to automate important tasks on your android device. These macros are basically triggers that activate actions on your device whenever a series of conditions are met.


A good example of a macro that shows you what's possible with MacroDroid is as follows: when your battery is less than 10%, a trigger is activated that automatically sets your smartphone on airplane mode and also reduce your screen brightness. In this example, the trigger and action are both very simple, but the customization possibilities are practically infinite.

How it works

=>> Select a Trigger. The trigger is the cue for the macro to start. MacroDroid offers over 70 triggers to start your macro. 

=>> Select the Actions you like to automate. MacroDroid can perform over 100 different actions, that you typically would do by hand. Connect to your Bluetooth or Wifi device, select volume levels, speak text (like your incoming notifications or current time), start a timer, dim your screen and many more. 


=>>Optionally: Configure Constraints. Constraints help you to let the macro fire only when you want it to. They are conditions that when they are met, the macro should not fire the action. For example, when you set a macro to play some music at 5 am, you can set a constraint on the battery level to maybe 10%. This means that, when it's 5 am, the music will play but when the phone battery is 10%, it won't.


MacroDroid has an elegant and simple UI and it's very simple to use. Creating a macro is as easy as sending a WhatsApp message.
